Mussolini, Benito - Foto autografata, 1926

cm.27x45
Black and white photograph of Benito Mussolini with Emilio de Bono in a white colonial uniform, with the Duce's autograph signature in black ink. The "BMussolini" signature is consistent with the signatures that changed over the years, from the extended "Benito Mussolini" of the early years to simply "Mussolini."

Benito Mussolini was wounded in the nose on April 7, 1926, by a gunshot fired by Irishwoman Violet Gibson. The attack occurred in front of the Capitoline Hill, and the bullet grazed the Duce, wounding him in the nose. Photographs of him with a bandage on his nose are rare.

The photo measures approximately 27 x 45 cm and is in excellent condition.
