Bronze plaque commemorating the proclamation of the Fascist Colonial Empire.
At the top, an eagle with outstretched wings, to its left the profile of King Victor Emmanuel III, and to its right the profile of the Duce, features an excerpt from the speech proclaiming the Empire on May 9, Year XIV of the Fascist era, day 174 of the beginning of the economic siege (sanctions against Italy).
On either side of the text are two columns with fasces and scrolls twisted around them with the names of the towns where battles were fought: Adua, Gondar, Tembien, Macalle, and Amba Aradan.
Signed MARINELLI FIRENZE at the bottom right.
Measures approximately 20 x 30 cm, in good condition.
