Tin robot, made in Japan, T.N. NOMURA Showa, in original box. Battery-powered electric movement.

Called MECHANIZED ROBOT, better known as Robby the Robot, released concurrently with the famous 1956 film THE FORBIDDEN PLANET starring Leslie Nielsen. Due to a lack of copyright, the Japanese company was forced to change the marketing name.

Marked "Made in Japan" on the base between the legs, two battery compartments on the sides of the legs, with second-type opening doors. Measures approximately 33 cm in height.

In excellent condition, box in good condition.
