The body and neck are made of thin filaments, worked to simulate dense, shaggy plumage. The left wing is raised and dramatically spread, made of shiny metal sheets, with a detailed relief rendering of the larger feathers. The beak is tapered and shiny. The bird rests on a wooden trunk.
