Wooden crucifix, Central Europe, 18th–19th century.

Height x width x depth: 77,5 x 44 x 11 cm.
The body of Christ, modelled with realism and balance, shows careful anatomical attention: the limbs are elongated, the side and the extremities of the limbs are marked by wounds, and the expression on the face is intense. A distinctive element is the golden ochre loincloth, draped in a dynamic and voluminous manner and tied at the right hip.  The Redeemer is placed on a cross, made of smooth wood and with simple lines.
