French Empire silver vegetable dish, Paris, 1819-1838
Height x diameter x width (with handles): 15 x 17 x 26 cm. Weight: 936 g
circular in shape. The body has square handles decorated with a leaf motif. The hinged lid has a rim with a repeated palmette motif and a knob on top for gripping.
950/1000 sterling silver, hallmarked with the complete series of marks in use in Paris from 1819 to 1838 for sterling silver, and with a hallmark used in the French departments from 1838 onwards.
