Holy water font, Southern Italy, 17th-18th century
Height x width x depth: 15 x 8 x 6 cm. Weight: 96 g
composed of a malachite cross on which a small carved coral Corpus Christi crucifix is attached. The holy water basin consists of a semicircular cup made of agate. The cross and cup are joined by metal elements, which include two winged cherubs in a symmetrical position. There is a ring for suspension at the top of the cross.
