Natural shell, Western Europe, 19th century
Height x width x depth: 16 x 16 x 13 cm. Weight: 440 g
mounted on a rounded brass base, finely decorated with chiselled naturalistic motifs. The shell is supported by a wraparound metal element, also in brass, which embraces its profile, acting as a structural and decorative support, on which a red natural stone is set.
