Pair of wax seals with bone handles, France, 19th century
Total weight: 69.5 g
The first seal has a tapered handle, turned into a circular shape, characterized by a delicate geometric decoration along its entire length. The lower part of the handle is distinguished by openwork elements. The base of the seal is square in shape and engraved with a heraldic coat of arms.
The second seal retains the same elegant tapered line and decoration on the upper part of the handle, but is distinguished by the presence of an ingenious rotating mechanism. This wheel system allows you to choose between different seals made of various types of semi-precious stones, each bearing a distinct coat of arms.
