Pair of zoomorphic sculptures, Southern Italy, late 19th – early 20th century

Height x width x depth: 9 x 16 x 10 cm. Total weight: 1544.6 g
depicting crocodiles, cast in bronze. They are characterised by a finely crafted surface that renders the scales and tension of the reptile's body. Coral branches are applied along the spine, in an apical position. Designed as table or cabinet Wunderkammern objects.
