Antique chest of drawers with a slatted top and bone inlay, Lombardy-Veneto region, 18th century
Height x width x depth: 92 x 149 x 63 cm
Curved at the front and sides. Entirely paneled in fine woods—walnut and burl—it is embellished with floral inlays in bone, mother-of-pearl, and fruit woods. The contoured top features an allegorical figure and dancing cherubs inlaid in the center, while decorative motifs of butterflies and clusters of grapes on the sides complete the composition
This lot is currently in storage in Rome with the owner.
