Golden Cage, 2009

Height x width x depth: 200 x 80 x 80 cm
in steel and bronze with gold finishes. The Golden Cage serves as a visual archetype: it is not merely an element of confinement, but an architectural volume that invites the viewer to reflect on the often self-imposed limits in which human beings seek refuge. Through the use of reflective and metallic materials, the artist plays on the ambiguity between the preciousness of the metal and the harshness of the prison, allowing light to penetrate and refract through the bars of the sculpture.
