mahogany wood with carved parts, multi-tiered case, oval base, central body with oval glass door, shaped top with scrollwork cornice and central pinnacle. Gilded and worked brass dial, finely engraved, with Arabic numerals and auxiliary dials for silencing the clock or selecting the melody. Mechanical weight-driven movement with double chime (carillon) and nine pipes for the hammers to strike.
