Gilded wooden mirror Louis XVI style, France, 19th century
Height x width x depth: 75 x 85 x 18 cm
rectangular in shape, with a central medallion featuring a bow (the “love knot” and the bow are recurring elements in the more neoclassical and graceful styles of the Louis XVI period, often paired with garlands, ribbons, and floral motifs) and musical instruments. The frame is also intricately carved and rests on two small feet adorned with floral motifs.
