Inlaid vase stand, Milan area, 19th century
Height x diameter: 131 x 45 cm
made of rosewood and ebonized wood, richly decorated with floral and geometric bone inlays. The polygonal body is embellished with panels featuring engraved figures. The base is adorned with carved elements depicting fantastical zoomorphic figures, typical of the eclectic style of the late 19th century. The upper surface is shaped like a bowl to hold a vase or decorative object.
