Oval box with miniature lady, France, 19th century

Height x width x depth: 6 x 16 x 13 cm.
in gilded brass, finely engraved and chiseled with plant motifs and rosettes. The lid features a miniature depicting a lady in the center. The miniature is surrounded by a beaded frame and leafy cartouches in relief. Guilloché decoration and braided edges. French school; possibly from a Parisian workshop of goldsmiths or miniaturists of the period.
