Wall-mounted corner cabinet in the Chinoiserie style, England, 19th century
Height x width x depth: 121 x 55 x 36 cm
Made of black-lacquered wood, richly decorated with gilded Chinoiserie motifs depicting oriental landscapes featuring pagodas, figures, boats, and stylized dragons. The piece features a curved front with two doors, shaped moldings, and a scalloped top cornice embellished with turned ornamental elements. The interior is lacquered and decorated in a matching style with gilded floral motifs, and includes a central shelf.
