Persian solid silver box, late 19th - early 20th century
Height x width x depth: 2.5 x 16.5 x 8.5 cm. Weight: 320 g
Rectangular in shape, with a densely packed symmetrical decoration (horror vacui) typical of Persian designs, featuring naturalistic floral motifs with birds amongst the branches, full and realistic flowers, and a central almond-shaped cartouche (boteh).
