Biedermeier double-section corner cabinet, Germany, 19th century
Height x width x depth: 225 x 124 x 82 cm
architecturally styled, entirely veneered in mahogany. The lower section, resting on plinth feet, features a compartment with two hinged doors surmounted by a drawer decorated with a gilded bronze plaque featuring classical motifs and eight-pointed stars. The upper section, which is recessed, is closed by a single arched door. The front is punctuated by solid half-columns with bases and capitals in chiseled gilded bronze. Solid oak frame.
