Pair of Angels Holding Candles, Southern Italy, 18th century
Height x width x depth: 55 x 19 x 14 cm
round sculptures carved from wood, gilded and polychromed, serving as liturgical altar furnishings. The two figures, mirror images of each other in their poses, are depicted barefoot on molded bases. Each angel holds a cornucopia in one arm.
