A pair of Italian solid silver candlesticks, mid-20th Century
Height x width x depth: 42.5 x 44 x 13 cm. Gross weight: 2290 g
three-light chandelier. In the Empire style, it features a slender baluster-style shaft resting on a circular, stepped base with delicate beaded mouldings. Three finely curved, arched arms extend from the central shaft, embellished with small applied leaf motifs. Each arm terminates in a beaded drip tray and a chalice-shaped candle bud.
800/1000 silver, hallmarked "800 – 23 MI – O. VENTRELLA – ROMA", silversmith Luigi Genazzi, retailer Ventrella Ottavio - Rome.
