Italian solid silver tray with cloche, early XX century
Height x width x depth: 17 x 50 x 36 cm. Weight: 2560 g
Both the profile of the tray and the rim of the cloche are defined by a rich embossed frame featuring volutes, foliage and rocaille motifs. On the front of the dome stands out a large and intricately detailed coat of arms, divided into four quarters (depicting three lilies, a crown, a sailing ship and a landscape), framed by plant-shaped volutes finely engraved with a burin. The top of the lid is surmounted by a handle shaped with floral motifs and volutes.
