arranged according to a structured iconographic scheme. In the two upper pediments appear the New Testament Trinity and the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. At the center stands the figure of Christ Pantocrator, the theological and visual focal point of the composition. Surrounding it is a sequence of Christological and Marian episodes arranged in a counterclockwise direction: Presentation at the Temple, Entry into Jerusalem, Old Testament Trinity, Dormition of the Virgin, Anastasis, Transfiguration of Christ, and Baptism of Christ. The ensemble forms a complex theological-devotional program, typical of the production of the Old Believers, in which narrative and symbolic synthesis is combined with the function of a domestic devotional object. The figures, rendered according to archaizing models, highlight continuity with the pre-Nikonian iconographic tradition.
