Kingdom - Postal Counterfeits, 15 cents F7 on letter.
December 23, 1863 - Envelope from Naples to Lucera, franked with a postal forgery of a 15-cent lithographic stamp. This is the extremely rare Naples forgery no. F7, produced in greenish blue copperplate. Until now, only two examples of this forgery were known: one loose and one on a fragment combined with a 5-cent DLR. This is currently the only known letter-issue example. The set is accompanied by an accurate AIEP certificate by Giacomo Bottacchi.
