The large Imari jar with lid decorated in underglaze blue, iron red, gold, and green with the typical ruyi (double scrolls) framing the main body of the jar. The decoration, featuring scenes of exotic birds (such as the phoenix), plum blossoms, and bamboo, symbolizes spring and longevity. The shishi lion is placed on the lid.
