Beheading of St. John the Baptist, Monogrammist AL?
Woodcut, 264 × 197 mm. Probably a Barelli forgery of a woodcut present in the Catalogo Soliani of 1864, p. 11, with the lower part of the woodblock cut away and the monogram added at the lower left. Printed on laid paper. The sheet is uniformly browned, with some areas of paper thinning and paper remnants on the reverse. Mounted with glue at two points onto a modern support sheet. Overall in good condition.
