Set of six lithographs executed by Collette after designs by Alfred Rethel, depicting a Dance of Death. The series presents Death in the guise of the “Friend of the People”, leading a crowd towards its ultimate doom by appealing to its republican sentiments.
Fine impressions on wove paper. Some scattered foxing, but otherwise in very good condition.
