The Pokémon Company

Serving as the second essential cornerstone in this set's premier starter trio, Torchic Gold Star represents a monumental achievement in vintage Pokémon TCG collecting. To witness all three Hoenn starter Gold Stars from EX Team Rocket Returns offered concurrently within a single auction event is an extraordinarily rare market occurrence. Back in 2004, the agonizingly low pull rate made pulling a specific starter like Torchic an immense challenge. Today, securing authentic, investment-grade surviving specimens is virtually unheard of, as available market supply remains locked in high-end private vaults. Masterfully illustrated by Masakazu Fukuda, the artwork depicts Torchic in its vibrant shiny coloration bursting past the visual frame—the hallmark dynamic feature of the Gold Star era. Preserved inside an AiGrading rigid anti-impact slab, this specimen earns an impressive 8.5 Near Mint-Mint+ overall grade. Its technical profile is backed by a 9 for front surface and back borders, alongside consistent 8.5 sub-grades across overall surface, overall borders, and overall corner angles. A premier, blue-chip vintage trophy for elite portfolios.
