Fan designer Andrew Clark set himself a fitting challenge: capturing the TARDIS’s famous “bigger on the inside” illusion in LEGO bricks. His project became this 526-piece set with 6 minifigures, pairing the blue police box with an opening console-room display inspired by the BBC series.

Clark’s design was developed by LEGO designer Samuel Johnson, whose connection to Doctor Who was unusually personal: his uncle, Paul McGann, played the Eighth Doctor. That family link adds another story to a model already rooted in fan enthusiasm. Now retired, this Ideas release brings the Doctor’s extraordinary time machine into a compact display, celebrating both the series and the people who translated it into bricks.
