The LEGO Group

Hans Christian Andersen takes centre stage in this 299-piece tribute with 2 minifigures. Built as an open book, the model places the Danish storyteller beside a young listener, turning the pages themselves into a miniature landscape where imagination comes to life.

Best known for tales such as The Little Mermaid and The Ugly Duckling, Andersen is a fitting subject for a Danish toy company built around creativity. The book format makes the connection especially charming: the story quite literally rises from the page. Originally offered as a gift with qualifying purchases in 2018 and now retired, this set offers literary collectors and LEGO fans an unusual display piece with a distinctly Danish identity.
