Two English Victorian sterling silver mustard pots, London 1840
Total silver weight: 270 gr. Weight with glass container: 478 gr.
both circular in shape resting on three feet, with a side handle.
The first mustard pot has an openwork decoration with scroll motifs and a hinged lid culminating in a flower; the second also has an openwork body but with geometric motifs, also with a hinged lid culminating in a leaf motif. Both features blue glass containers.
Sterling silver, fully hallmarked with the marks used in London in 1840-1841 and bearing the mark of the silversmith Charles Fox II.
