Italian solid silver tureen with underplate, Naples, 1832-1872
Height x diameter: 19 x 29 cm. Weight: 1340 g
of circular shape with side handles, resting on four leafed feet, repousse with ‘cocciolette’ motif, duomo-shaped lid with the same decorations and pear-shaped final with leaves.
Hallmarked with the mark in use by the goldsmiths' guild of Naples for a silver fineness of 833/1000 or 10 ounces, in use between 1832 and 1872.
