Modello di aereo ANSALDO A.120, 1925
cm.35x52
Company model of the ANSALDO A.120 monoplane
Original period model made of boxed sheet metal (brass sheet metal), used for military propaganda and to represent the ANSALDO manufacturing company. The model has a wingspan of approximately 52 cm and a length of 35 cm. The cockpit features a pilot's cabin and mechanical controls (levers) for opening and closing the wing flaps and for steering the tail rudder. It has a two-bladed wooden rotating propeller. Hard rubber tires and spoked wheels. This is an original model from around 1925, a beautiful, realistic scale reproduction. In excellent condition, completely original, and requires no restoration.
The ANSALDO A.120 was a monoplane tested in 1925 by Arturo Ferrarin. It was powered by a 400-horsepower Lorraine Dietrich 12 DB engine.
The A.120 was purchased by the Regia Aeronautica in December 1926, and in 1931 it was tested at Montecelio in the โRโ version, with a 700 hp Fiat A24.R engine and extensive modifications to the cockpit.
