Ventennio - PROFILO CONTINUO Duce, 1942
cm.8x8x10
An iconic work of the twenty-year period, the CONTINUOUS PROFILE OF THE DUCE, conceived and created by Renato Bertelli in 1933, is one of the most sought-after and now rare versions on the market. It was created for what was intended to be the ROME UNIVERSAL EXPOSITION of 1942, in the twentieth year of the Fascist era. The exhibition/exhibition in EUR (an acronym for the Universal Exhibition of Rome, formerly E42), a famous neighborhood of the capital with its rationalist architecture, was never held due to the ongoing war. Therefore, this Continuous Profile was never widely distributed (except for a few copies for a select few insiders).
The inscription "EXPOSITION UNIVERSALE ROME 1942 - XX" is engraved on the neck of the profile.
Made of self-sufficient material, mounted on a black marble base, original even in the central part with a round head that holds the "sculpture" to its base. The base measures approximately 8 x 8 x 2 cm, while the profile is 8 cm high and 6 cm in diameter.
In perfect condition.
