Sleeping Cupid, by Caravaggio

Etching, 435 x 490 mm (sheet). Plate from "Collection of Paintings Painted by the Most Famous Painters Owned by HRH Pietro Leopoldi," a series reproducing paintings in the Grand Ducal Palace in Florence, commissioned by Ferdinando de' Medici but not published until 1778.

A fine impression on laid paper. Wide, preserved margins. The pages may have scattered stains, creasing, and a trace of a central horizontal fold, but are generally in good condition.
