D.Antonius van Dyck Eques

Burin, 251 x 156 mm (plate), 300 x 204 mm (sheet). From a self-portrait by Anton van Dyck, taken from the collection "Icones principum, virorum, doctorum, pictorum, chalcographorum".

A very fine impression on laid paper with a watermark (lion with sword). The sheet has wide margins and is in excellent condition, except for a trace of a diagonal fold on the upper margin and a tiny restoration visible on the verso. With a collector's stamp by Richard Jung (Frankenthal 1911-Aix-la-Chapelle 1986) (Lugt 3791).
