Mechanical singing birds carillon

Height x diameter: 30 x 17 cm.
Metal cage and casing containing two small dancing parrots with colorful plumage. The feathers are authentic, repainted, and the birds are attached to the bases with a brass stand and assembled to the mechanism hidden by a blue velvet-covered top. Underneath is the crank that winds the mechanism and the button that starts the music box. 

Trademark of the brand “Reuge Musik,” Sainte Croix, made in Switzerland.

The technique was acquired by Reuge from the Bontems company in Paris and the German company Eschle in the 1960s.
