Buffalo horn mounted on a gilded metal base, Europe, 19th century

Height x width x depth: 44 x 11,5 x 10 cm
modelled with a winged dragon holding the horn. The whole piece rests on a perforated square base, supported by four richly decorated lion feet. At the top of the horn, at the widest end, there is a refined openwork metal decoration. Intended for natural history collections or as a cabinet ornament.
