Pair of candlesticks with cherubs. Gilded bronze with black patination. Early 19th century.

44.5 x 22 x 11 cm
This small pair of candlesticks belongs to the neoclassical style that lasted from the 18th century until the first decades of the following century.

They also belong to the Grand Tour style, as they are made according to classical decorative styles. The two cherubs with raised arms, covered by a drape tied just above their buttocks, seem to have emerged from a Pompeii excavation.

A pair of household objects that can be transformed from three lights to a single candle, depending on your needs.
