Naples - Cancellations, DIANO departing from Sala Consilina, an unprecedented and extremely rare combination!

1858 - 2gr. III plate, light pink no. 7b, on a letter dated August 8, 1860, addressed to Naples. The stamp was cancelled by the greenish blue Sala Consilina cover without the namestamp being applied to the letter, likely because the letter was posted in the area known as "Vallo Di Diano," which had post offices in Polla and Sala Consilina. Detailed Bottacchi certificate. (A) (Cert. Bottacchi)
