Naples - Cancellations, "Ferro di Cavallo" silent on 2gr.
February 8, 1859 - Cover from Naples to Catania (Via Palermo) franked with two 2gr. specimens, one belonging to plate I, no. 5c, and the other belonging to plate III, no. 7, both cancelled with the "Horseshoe" cancellation impressed upon arrival in Palermo. The combination of different plates of the same denomination and the Sicilian cancellation cancellation make this item likely unique. (A+) (Chiavarello, Alberto Diena)
