Released for Billund Airport’s 50th anniversary, this 281-piece model was sold exclusively at the airport’s LEGO Store in the departure area. Acquiring it originally meant travelling through Billund, giving the set a direct connection to the journeys many fans make to LEGO’s home town.

Its story begins even closer to the terminal: the model that inspired the official set was created by a LEGO enthusiast working in the airport shop. That local origin makes it a particularly fitting souvenir of the building it represents. Now retired, this original 2014 edition combines miniature architecture with genuinely restricted distribution, appealing to collectors of LEGO locations and travel exclusives.
