1. How to Participate
You may participate online after registering on our website www.bertolamifineart.com, on Bidinside, or by submitting a written bid.
New or unknown clients who have not previously registered must upload a valid identity document directly on the website.

Bids can be placed during the auction by registering on our website www.bertolamifineart.com or via our partner portal Bidinside. Registration is only complete after uploading the required identity documents as prompted by the system and receiving a confirmation email from our staff.

b. Participation via Written Bid
Bids may also be submitted in writing by completing the appropriate proxy bid form.

If payment is not received within 30 days from the auction, a late payment penalty of 1% per month will be applied to the outstanding amount.
3. Buyer’s Premium
A buyer’s premium of 22% will be added to the hammer price of each lot.
There are no additional fees for lots won via our Live-bidding system.
4. Additional Costs
Shipping costs, any applicable customs duties, and any administrative fees related to the issuance of export certificates (e.g., Free Circulation Certificates or other required permits) are the responsibility of the buyer.
In case of unjustified return of goods to Bertolami Fine Art, any customs and shipping costs will be borne by the client.
5. Terms and Conditions of Sale
The terms and conditions governing the relationship between Bertolami Fine Art and the clients participating in the auctions are published in every catalogue.
Since participation implies full acceptance of these terms, we kindly ask you to read them carefully.
In case of discrepancies between the printed and online versions of the sale conditions, the online version shall prevail.
6. Authenticity
As per our established tradition, all coins offered for sale are guaranteed to be authentic with no time limitation.
Any valuation errors are covered by Lloyd’s Errors & Omissions insurance policy.
Upon request, Bertolami Fine Art issues certificates of authenticity for coins offered in its auctions.
Disputes concerning authenticity must be supported by a certificate issued by a recognized expert of proven scientific authority, including detailed reasons and any diagnostic analyses conducted on the coin.
Opinions issued by grading companies do not qualify as certificates.
7. Lot Descriptions
Bertolami Fine Art s.r.l. assumes no liability for the descriptions and valuations of lots published in the catalogue, condition reports, or any other promotional material.
All such information is intended solely as a personal opinion of our experts.
8. Publication of Auction Results
The list of winning bids will be published by Bertolami Fine Art s.r.l. on its website www.bertolamifineart.com within ten days following the conclusion of the auction, for informational purposes only.

The minimum bid for each lot is the starting price listed on our website.
In the case of:
- A single pre-auction bid on a lot, and no counterbids during the live auction, the lot will be awarded at the starting price, even if the sole bid exceeds it. (The pre-auction bid represents the maximum amount the bidder is willing to pay.) Example: Starting price €1,000 – Single pre-auction bid €1,500 – Hammer price €1,000
- Multiple pre-auction bids of the same amount on a lot, and no counterbids during the auction, the lot will be awarded to the bidder who submitted the earliest bid.
- Multiple pre-auction bids of different amounts on a lot, and no counterbids during the auction, the lot will be awarded to the highest bidder at a price calculated by adding a predetermined increment (see Table A below) to the second-highest bid. Example: Bidder A: €1,270; Bidder B: €1,800 – Bidder B wins at €1,370, as €100 is added to the second-highest bid (falling within the €1,000–1,999 bracket of Table A).
