c. By submitting the absentee bid form referred to in paragraph 1(b)

The minimum bid for each lot corresponds to the starting price indicated on our website.
In the event of:
  • A single pre-auction bid on a lot,
and in the absence of competing bids during the auction, the lot will be awarded at the starting price, even if the sole pre-auction bid is higher (as the pre-auction bid indicates the maximum amount the bidder is willing to offer).
    Example: starting price €1,000 – single pre-auction bid €1,500 – hammer price €1,000.
  • Multiple pre-auction bids of the same amount on the same lot,
and in the absence of competing bids during the auction, the lot will be awarded to the bidder whose bid was submitted first.
  • Multiple pre-auction bids of different amounts on the same lot,
and in the absence of competing bids during the auction, the lot will be awarded to the highest bidder at a hammer price calculated by adding a predetermined increment (as per Table A below) to the immediately lower bid.
Example: Bidder A €1,270; Bidder B €1,800. The lot is awarded to Bidder B at a hammer price of €1,370, i.e. the lower bid plus the automatic increment of €100 applicable to the €1,000–1,999 range.
